Service portals and automation for the German Mittelstand
Germany's economy is built on its Mittelstand: thousands of family-owned, often highly specialised manufacturers that lead global niches in machinery, automotive components, chemicals and industrial equipment. Munich and Stuttgart are centres of automotive and engineering, Frankfurt is the country's financial hub, Hamburg is a major port and logistics city, and Berlin's startup scene is among the liveliest in Europe. With a well-documented shortage of software developers, many German companies struggle to move digitalisation projects forward with in-house staff alone.
Working remotely from southern India's Tamil Nadu, we keep no office or employees in Germany. Our clocks show 4.5 hours later than CET in the cold months and 3.5 hours later than CEST in summer, so German mornings coincide with our afternoons for calls, sign-offs and reviews. Our industrial work includes operational systems for Spectrum Global Resources, a producer and distributor of tiles and marble, alongside custom platforms, workflow automation and AI features. We treat personal data according to the GDPR and the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG), with an Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag and hosting in German or EU data centres where required.
Sectors from Stuttgart to Hamburg
Mittelstand machinery makers
Order, production and service workflows plus customer and dealer portals that run next to SAP or whichever ERP you already use.
Stuttgart and Munich automotive suppliers
Supplier portals, quality documentation and dashboards for component makers and engineering firms.
Hamburg logistics and wholesale
Shipment tracking, warehouse tools and customer portals for logistics providers and wholesalers.
Berlin start-ups and Munich scale-ups
MVPs and additional developers for Berlin start-ups, Munich scale-ups and SaaS teams nationwide.
Thought experiment: an NRW machine builder
A service portal for a North Rhine-Westphalia machinery maker
A mid-sized machinery manufacturer in North Rhine-Westphalia, for example, might receive service requests by phone and email, with technicians searching shared drives for manuals and past repair notes. A project could introduce a customer service portal for submitting tickets with machine serial numbers, a technician view showing service history, and an ERP connection for spare parts. With your morning overlapping our afternoon, the project lead would join a weekly review and approve written specifications before each sprint. The first phase would likely concentrate on ticket intake and service history, followed by spare-parts ordering.
Our offer for German companies
German companies, from Mittelstand manufacturers to Berlin start-ups, generally work with us across the following four services, usually starting small.
Paper-based service, digitised step by step
A family-owned machine builder in Baden-Württemberg may have world-class engineering but paper-based service processes. We work alongside management to prioritise digitalisation steps, document requirements thoroughly and move one process at a time without disrupting production.
Learn more →Delivery notes and customs papers, automated
Wholesalers and logistics providers around Hamburg process large volumes of delivery notes, customs paperwork and order confirmations. Automated extraction, validation and routing into SAP or other ERPs reduces manual entry for back-office staff.
Learn more →Dealer portals your ERP vendor won't build
Automotive suppliers near Munich and Stuttgart frequently need dealer portals, spare-parts catalogues or service apps that their ERP vendor cannot provide. We develop these as separate, well-documented applications that integrate cleanly with existing systems.
Learn more →AI search over manuals and specs
Technical documentation, maintenance manuals and supplier specifications are rich sources for AI search and assistance. We build retrieval tools for engineers and service technicians, with EU data hosting and careful handling of confidential drawings.

- A German morning is our afternoon, and every decision is captured in written specifications and meeting minutes.
- We connect to the ERP and systems you already run rather than pushing you to swap them out.
- Invoicing in euros, an NDA, full transfer of rights, a GDPR Article 28 agreement (AVV), and on-site kickoffs in Germany when the scope calls for one.

GDPR, ERP and language questions
Is there a German GmbH or local team?
No. Quansail has no legal entity or employees in Germany; all our engineers are Tamil Nadu-based. For larger projects, the first workshop can take place in Germany with one of us present.
How do you meet GDPR and BDSG requirements?
We sign an Article 28 agreement (AVV), collect only necessary data, enforce role-based access and host in the EU on request, within the GDPR and BDSG. You stay the controller, your Datenschutzbeauftragter gets full documentation, and oversight rests with the BfDI or your state authority.
Can the project run in German?
Our working language is English. German-language screens use translations you supply or approve, and every specification is written down so nothing depends on a phone call.
Will new software talk to our current ERP?
Yes. We usually build the workflow layer, such as orders, service or dealer processes, and integrate with your ERP through its APIs or data exports. We start with one process, prove it works and then extend.
Move your Digitalisierung project forward
Send us a short description of the process you want to modernise, and we will reply with a written proposal and a quote in EUR.
